Welcome to my little corner. Learn more about what I do and try out some of my designs.

I've been designing in the game industry for over 10 years, working on quick and fun family games to in depth licensed games. I've also converted training material for businesses into card and role playing games to make the material easier and more interesting to learn.
Having previously worked as a regional manager for a big corporation, I much prefer designing something fun for others to enjoy. I try to put my education in Psychology, Education and Creative Writing to the most use in my designs.
In addition to game design, I also mentor new designers and companies through the Okanagan Game Designers Association.

No Escape, and its expansions are a great way to start a games night. Quick to play and setup, yet expandable for larger groups, this is a good way to start your games night, or have fun with the family.
In the Second edition of Last One Standing I tried to focus on quick combat style gameplays that felt like you are playing your favorite FPS Battle Royal on the game board.
While I started making Licensed games on licenses I didn't really enjoy (needed to pay the bills after all) I still put everything into them. Vikings: Raid and Conquer, based off the Vikings TV show, and Trailer Park Boys: Park Wars based off the Trailer Park Boys TV show were designs made for the first studio I worked for.
After, I decided I would only work on licenses I truly enjoyed. While this has meant turning down several licenses, and even fully designing games for a license and being turned down at the last moment, I've still managed to create some fun licensed games such as Battle Bears the board game.
Working with other designers can have it's own ups and downs. you will never agree on everything, and sometimes unexpected issues will come from the strangest directions. Even with that, helping to create a massive game like Stars of Akarios was a huge learning experience that shaped some of the design ideas I have today.
When I started out, I was so thankful to have someone willing to mentor me on how I should approach the industry. Because of that I have tried hard to do the same for others. As such I helped start the Okanagan Game Developers Association, helping others to get into the industry.
